The trip I absolutely had to take

If I had only had the chance to travel to one destination in my entire life, it would have been Spain. It would make perfect sense to understand this if you know my family heritage and the love my parents have for this country. I myself grew up loving flamenco, Spanish food and their idiosyncrasy. I even promise to myself that whenever I crossed the Atlantic, the first place I would land would be Spain. Then you would understand my excitement when the opportunity presented and the tickets and hotels were all booked. My dad tagged along, and honestly I wouldn't have had it any other way; seeing Spain through his eyes was rewarding.
Spain has so much to offer that I knew I could not see the entire country in only two weeks, so I decided to concentrate on Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, and major cities in Andalucia (Sevilla, Cordoba, and Granada). From the cities that we used as base, we also took a lot of side trips, all of them incredible: from Barcelona, we visited Montserrat; from Madrid, we visited Toledo and took a tour to Avila and Segovia; from Sevilla, another tour to Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz; and from Cordoba, we visited Ronda.
For now, I will leave you with the itinerary we followed through Spain, but keep tuned for more detailed itineraries for each of the cities visited.
