In Valencia for a night
Valencia is not big in size but huge in appeal. It is a great stop, even if for only one nigh and you should consider it when planing your itinerary in Spain (as we did, you can check the complete Spain itinerary here).
If you find yourself in Valencia, you better try paella valenciana and horchata, respectively a typical dish and drink. I certainly did, and I certainly enjoyed them. For horchata, you should definitely go to Horchateria Santa Catalina, where they have been preparing and serving the drink for 2 centuries already. For paella, there are many options, I can attest for the flavor I sampled in the restaurant Arroceria La Valenciana, surrounded by the friendliest of servers and customers.
I would like to also recommend our accommodation in Valencia: Hotel Adhoc Carmen. In addition to its great location, and extremely clean and comfortable beds, the two-floor rooms offer privacy for groups traveling together while keeping your party close.
