In love with Granada
As soon as you stand in La Carrera del Darro, it is extremely easy to understand why Isabel The Catholic Queen fell in love with this city. This street is probably among the most beautiful in Europe, and I am not exaggerating one bit. That's why when I found the gorgeous Hotel Shine Albaycín for such a wonderful price online I booked it without hesitation, and their customer service is really wonderful.
Right next to our hotel was El Minotauro, another gastronomic gem of the many we found throughout Spain. We ate here breakfast, dinner, "chocolate con churros" at midnight, you name it. Everything was tasty, and everything was very economic.
Besides the lodging and gastronomy I have been raving about, Granada is full of beauty. It is sufficient to say Alhambra to evoke all kind of romance and wanderlust. Add to it the authentic flamenco in Sacromonte, the Royal Chapel, and the traditional arts of "taracea"and "loza de Fajaluza" and you got yourself a travel treat.
Granada is simply enchanting. The only thing I regret about our stay in Granada was that it wasn't longer.
